Residential Redevelopment, Tisbury
25 September 2014
Collier Reading Architects were approached by L&W developments ltd to clear planning conditions and subsequently produce a set of working drawings regarding the construction of 3 new dwellings. The site is situated on land adjacent to a pub in Tisbury and consists of a semi-detached 2 bedroom pair of houses and a 1 bedroom coach house.
All units utilise timber frame construction including roof trusses to enable quick construction of the structural carcass with a traditional masonry outer skin to match that of local buildings. Features such as an air source heat pump were incorporated into the design of each unit with substantial but practical depths of insulation throughout ultimately providing energy efficient dwellings which will benefit all futures occupiers.
Approval was gained during the first part of 2014 from ‘NHBC Inspectors’ and completion of the dwellings is due towards the end of this year.
